Since living with Kyle, I really haven’t don’t cook as much as I like to. He is a fantastic chef and happily takes over the kitchen. Sure I help chopping and so on, but haven’t made him dinner in a while.
So Saturday he asked if I would and here’s what I made!
Chiang Mai Noodle [...]
Donna Hayis amazing. She is the less intimidating Aussie version of Martha Stewart. Throughout our week in LA to save $$, we made dinner each night. Turns out Donna Hay is Daniel’s all time favorite, so we made a couple of her dishes.
Everyone of them was delicous, yet simple. Literally, they contained like three ingredients each. Perfection.
Here’s [...]
I have to show you what Kyle & I made for ourselves during the trip in Vermont. Sure, of course we went out for some good meals. But nothing compares to a nice dinner at home.
On the way up to Vermont, tired and hungry from Labor Day weekend, all we wanted was a warm nurturing meal. [...]
Keeping with the summer 2009 trend, I made another pasta salad this weekend for a BBQ. Well….ok. Technically, it isn’t your typical pasta salad, but it was cold & had noodles. That counts right?
One of my all time favorite Thai dishes is called Yam Woon Sen. It’s wonderfully flavorful & light glass noodle salad with minced pork and shrimp. Yam Woon Sen [...]
I think the last few years have been dips & appetizers. This summer, for some reason and not even planned, I have been drawn to creating delicious pasta salads. And here is another for your viewing pleasure:

Absolutely delicious. I made this guy for Kyle’s 4th of July BBQ and with [...]
Now that the weather is getting warmer (well to be more accurate: foggy, humid, gross, and no chance of the sun ever coming out), Kyle has been adding lighter summer orientated meals into his cooking repertoire.
Scallops with mushrooms, baked cherry tomatoes, & salad, drizzled with a delicious lemon vinaigrette!
Can I even begin to express [...]
At least once every two weeks, Kyle likes to cook me dinner. Isn’t that sweet of him? I think it’s wonderful because…well, he’s a great cook and everything has been amazing. So far he has wowed me with:
Penne in a vodka sauce
The best jambalaya of my life
Sushi
Crab & artichoke dip
Well last Thursday was another one of [...]
I think one of the reasons I like going to parties so much is having the chance to bring a dish along. Memorial Day bbq at my friend Greg’s was no exception. A few days earlier I asked what to bring and I was told pasta salad….hmmm have I ever made it before? No! Hurray! [...]
After making him a delicious venison casserole a week or so ago, Kyle felt the need to cook me one of his specialties. So after picking me up on Thursday, we popped by the liquor store to get some wine, at which point he casually mentioned that there was garlic bread in the oven. Of [...]
One of the great things about everyone getting older and living on their own are dinner parties. I for one love cooking for people. It’s a wonderful way to bring people together and try fun recipes that would not be right if others weren’t there to share the experience.
Take last Monday for example. With St. Patrick’s day in mind, [...]
